Things Got Uggla-y

For my last night out before starting med school, me and the rest of the TML staff (among others, too) went out in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  Also with us was a girl, Lisa*, that I had dated and was in an on-again off-again type of thing.  (As you'll find out later, apparently we were in the off-again phase, except that nobody ever told me that).  When we get to the bar, we see none other than a certain Marlins' 2nd baseman (Dan Uggla for those of you who don't know), who was only a couple weeks back from playing in the All-Star game.  We start talking to him and taking Jaeger bombs with him.  He also starts talking to Lisa* for a little.  All this eventually stops, and a few hours pass before we're ready to leave.  As we're walking out, Lisa* comes up to me and says “Dan invited me back to his place to have a drink, so I'm gonna go there”.  Being really drunk and also slightly in shock, I didn't put up much of a fight.  Everyone saw.  Everyone laughed.  At me.  Twenty minutes later, as we're finally walking back to the condo that we had parked at, I get a call from Lisa* asking us to come pick her up.  Apparently she thought that all Dan Uggla wanted to do was have an innocent drink and hang out back at his condo and that this was OK because he lives at the same condo we were parked at.  So she got pissed and left when he inevitably tried to bang her (she claims).  Karma was good to me though, as Uggla went 0-4 with 2 K's the next day, and I got 2 days worth of apologies (and you can make your own assumptions about what else I got).  The Deli 1, Dan Uggla 0.
