Congratulations Jandro, you won a giant bowl of meat. I am so happy Big Eisy got such a crappy score. I am so happy HBomb had less correct than me.  Here's one bit of good news for all you APLE fans- look at the amount of correct picks I had compared to the others.  Shows you that APLE wasn't a complete and utter failure.  Thanks Serrano.  Next year you better throw in a statistic called The Sucky Statistic.  This stat takes all of your final picks and does one last review of all of them, takes an objective look at how sucky they were in the regular season and it thinks to itself- how can this team possibly make it this far, something must be wrong (AKA Duke). So until next year folks, remember- an APLE a day keeps the last place bracket away.

FROM JANDRO-

I’d like to take this opportunity to declare victory in the 2009 TML Bracket Challenge. I beat some worthy competitors: a girl, a computerized formula, and our resident Stump the Schwab. How did I do it?
To beat Big Eisy is relatively easy. All you have to do is see who he picks, and just do the opposite. You see, Big Eisy likes the “sexy” picks. Syracuse to win it all? Really? I’m no college basketball expert, but that’s a pretty bad pick. If Syracuse does win it all, then Big Eisy is a genius. Unfortunately for Big Eisy, his picks really never seem to come through.  Beating HBomb is easy too. She’s a girl. End of story. Just kidding, HBomb probably beats me 9 out of 10 times.

Now, beating the computerized formula is a bit trickier. Again, this was probably a fluke. I have to imagine that over an extended period of time, APLE works. Not so much in 2009. I’m not sure what variables APLE takes into consideration, but I assume that Michigan State practically playing a home game on Saturday wasn’t one of them. APLE didn’t have them in the Final Four regardless, but it’s little things like this that I don’t think computers account for (common sense).
Next year I don’t see myself repeating as champion. I think it will come down to HBomb or APLE. Big Eisy won’t win because he’ll pick UNC-Asheville or something like that to win it all.
